Type of Assessment
The final examination is intended to ensure the acquisition of learning outcomes by an oral exam. The exam consists in questions on parts of the programme carried out in class, in particular the description and interpretation of cytological digital images.
Course program
Vaginal cytology: TBS classification; morphological characteristics of low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL), high-grade (HSIL), squamous carcinoma and invasive adenocarcinoma.

Urinary cytology: Paris reporting system. Morphological characteristics of negative cytological, inflammatory and high-grade urothelial carcinoma conditions. Bronchopulmonary cytology: classification of lung cancers . Karyotype and banding techniques. Molecular cytogenetics: FISH, Array-CGH, SNP-Array. Chromosomal anomalies. Interpretation of molecular data and writing report according to the guidelines. Genetic counseling. Prenatal analysis
